The Spaniard of Kurdish heritage completed a dream weekend for Kurdistan Racing Team at Oschersleben. Tutumlu secured a maiden win for the team in his Car Collection Motorsport-entered Audi R8 LMS Evo in dominant fashion. Prior to his triumph in the 30-minute race, Tutumlu claimed a third place in the Dunlop 60 teaming up with Dirg Parhofer.

Isaac Tutumlu continues to make history for the Kurdish motorsport as the Spanish driver scored a first win for Kurdistan Racing Team at Oschersleben, which played host to another round of the DMV GTC / Dunlop 60. Tutumlu led the way on the German track behind the wheel of his Car Collection Motorsport-run Audi R8 LMS Evo in Kurdistan Racing Team colors.

On Friday, Tutumlu grabbed the pole position for the Dunlop 60 race in a rain-marred qualifying session. Tutumlu was the single driver to beat the 1:41 mark and clocked a lap time of 1m40.910s. His teammate Dirg Parhofer made the opening stint and, by the halfway point, the German driver handed over to Tutumlu who rejoined seventh and more than forty seconds behind the podium places. An unstoppable Tutumlu fought back to secure a third place finish at the end of the 60-minute race. On Saturday, Tutumlu was second fastest in the qualifying session for the DMV GTC race by setting a lap time of 1m24.547s. When the lights went out, Tutumlu passed pole-sitter Simon Reicher for the lead and the Spaniard of Kurdish heritage kept his rivals at bay. Despite Reicher and Kenneth Heyer tried overtook him, Tutumlu took the checkered flag in first.

“I’m extremely happy and proud because I achieved this maiden victory for Kurdistan Racing Team. It’s a very young project, which was born a mere two months ago. We scored a podium finish in our first race and our first triumph already came as well. Last but not least, we also secured another podium finish this weekend. It was a closely-fought race fending off Reicher and Heyer during the entire race” explained Tutumlu. “Our prospects are amazing for the future. I want to dedicate this win to Rofgo, Audi Sport Team Car Collection and, of course, Kurdistan Racing Team. They all are playing a key role on the road to success.”
